Oooh, a new Kooks video-- for their first single taken off their latest album, Konk, called, ‘Always Where I Need to Be’. I think a band is ever allowed a maximum of two videos of this kind; the kind where the camera follows the band around as they hang out and do whatever. The Kooks has three…I think. First time around, it was shot in Paris, and then it was in Mexico (if I'm not mistaken), and now it’s in Brooklyn, New York. I’m sure there are more options than this, for example, clowns can be hired to roam around in the video like this one right here, or a video that features scenes of lesbians and gays making out and everything else sex-oriented like this one we’ve got right here. I kid, of course.
Not much that I can say about the track though, except that it’s tantalizingly good! The song conforms to everything that is essentially Kooksian but with a harder edge. But I’m not falling for it, I know the guys have even better tunes hidden within the confines of that album, and I can’t wait to listen to more.
The single, ‘Always Where I Need to Be’ is slated to be released on the 1st of March.
