This is a BRILLIANT new track by Travis, well new-ish since I was late in the game to be informed about it. I know I’ve mentioned this a couple of times, but I love Travis – and I love the fact that I love them for all the right reasons. For example, no urge in wanting to Google for pics of Fran Healy’s ‘significant other’ or finding out which member has a tattoo and which body part is the tattoo located on; that would completely deviate the fact that I love the band merely for their excellent music - you should know.The video to the song is amazingly fun to watch and got me smiling for no reason at the end. Aesthetically, it’s nothing much, but the idea and concept behind the video is incredibly witty and clever. I only had the worthy chance of listening to half of their exceptional new album, The Boy With No Name. ‘My Eyes’ was one of the tracks which I didn’t get a chance to listen to, because it was located in the other half. But if the song could sum up that whole other half of the record, then I’m definitely citing this album as one of the ‘Top 25 Albums of the Year 2007’ - if I were to ever come around in doing a list as such.
This could only mean one thing: you the honorable music fans out there, should therefore support Travis and purchase their new album because it’s so good, I might just purchase it myself (Shoot, did I just reveal something?).
